If you find yourself in New Belgrade during lunch time as this was the case with the gastro patrol of the portal RESTORANI.RS, an excellent solution for rest and a quality meal is DESPACITO restaurant in Block A near the shopping mall Delta city.

A pleasant surprise was the spacious private parking restaurant, which is quite rare when Belgrade restaurants are concerned.  This spacious and airy restaurant is located on the ground floor of a new building, first thing to noticeare elegantly laid out tables by the example of the world's best restaurants and neat and professional staff who immediately take care of the guest. While we were refreshing with excellent coffee, freshly prepared juice and first-class fruit brandy, we got familiar with what restaurant DESPACITO has on the menu.

According to the current mood and recommendation of the staff, we started lunch with an excellent selection of cheese. Goat cheese, brie, gorgonzola, smoked cheese, parmesan etc.topped with honey dressing with truffles, olives, dry figs and cherry tomatoes ... excellent start!!!

While we enjoyed the aperitifs and the area, three dishes were prepared for us in the kitchen:

When the meals arrived, the main impression alongside the perfect presentation was quantity, i.e. unusually large portions. 

The Octopus is served with chopped potatoes and bliss, and everything was enriched with olive oil, fresh lemon and garlic. The octopus was perfectly grilled and soft, just as it should be.

The duck file was prepared on butter and sprinkled with black onion, cognac,neutral sour cream and fresh truffles. Side dish made from colored beans served was awesome.

The sommelier recommended organic wine Posip from winery Jokic to go with the octopus and duck file breasts and we did not regret taking her advice.

We paid special attention to Tomahawk, the famous veal cotlet. A portion of nearly 700 grams of the best quality meat requires extraordinary skills to be prepared. Optimally baked and enriched with the perfect taste of liver and tomato sauce. Tomahawk represents a real challenge for gourmets. The side dish and an excellent contrast with the Tomahawk meal is  palenta and a few interestingly prepared chestnuts. Red Sicilian wine Zisola of the Nero d'Avola variety perfectly paired with this perfection of meat.

In order for the gastro patrol report to be complete, we tried the desserts of restaurant DESPACITO. Several types of chocolate cakes,  cheesecake, tres leches, andother interesting and delicious creamy creations were a perfect end to a tasty lunch and superb atmosphere.

According to our impressions and experience, DESPACITO restaurant belongs to the very top offer of the capital. The offer, interior and atmosphere are ideal for private or business visits, or whenever you want a true hedonistic experience.
